State Of The Town Address, Community Event Set For March 23

It's an opportunity for folks to come together, engage in open, informative dialogue about North Branford's "challenges and opportunities."

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The North Branford Economic Development Commission is hosting a State of the Town event March 23 at the Town Council Chambers, 909 Foxon Road. The event, open to the public, is from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with refreshments provided by the Shoreline Chamber.

The State of the Town event will feature a lineup of distinguished guest speakers, including Lindy Lee Gold, representing the State of Connecticut Department of Economic Development.

Gold will share insights on the state of the economy and discuss the initiatives underway to drive growth and prosperity for the community.

And North Branford Town Manager Michael Downes will provide an update on the state of the town. Downes is expected to discuss the "challenges and opportunities facing North Branford and the measures the town is taking to address them."

Another highlight of the event will be the introduction of David Perkins as the new Town Planner. He will share insights into the town's zoning and planning regulations, which play a critical role in shaping the community's development and ensuring a high quality of life for its residents.

Local entrepreneurs and business owners, Lorin and Nick Greene of Local is Good, will also take the stage to discuss the state of the local economy and the role of small businesses in driving growth and prosperity. Local is Good has been a strong advocate for the North Branford community, and their new communication platform will give residents and businesses alike the ability to share information relevant to our town and our stakeholders.

Finally, Dee Jacob, representing the Shoreline Chamber, will speak on behalf of the organization and its role in supporting local businesses and economic development in the region. The Shoreline Chamber has been an instrumental partner in promoting economic growth and prosperity in North Branford, and Ms. Jacob will share the organization's latest initiatives and plans for the future.
