Susan Shapiro Barash (www.susanshapirobarash.com (aka Susannah Marren), a well-known gender expert and bestselling nonfiction author of books such as “Tripping the Prom Queen,” “Toxic Friends,” and “The Nine Phases of Marriage” will discuss her debut novel, “Between the Tides” written under the pen name of Susannah Marren on July 30 at 7 p.m. at RJ Julia Booksellers at 768 Boston Post Road in Madison. This book, which has been described as an excellent beach read, focuses on a New York power couple who migrate to the suburbs of New Jersey along with some of the themes from her nonfiction books such as female rivalry, marriage and the mother-daughter bond.
