T-Birds' Girls' Basketball Looks to Have Winning Season

Webster and the T-Birds have set a goal of steadily improving and having a winning season. With these goals in mind, every game of the season will be important.

Senior Stephanie Torniero and junior Ashley Arre captain the 2011-12 squad, bringing "experience and a desire to win," according to Webster.

In addition to the captains, other key returnees include juniors Jenny Sabetta and Alexa Picciuto, who missed last season with a hip problem; along with sophomore Melissa Sola, who will be the starting point guard; and freshman Justine Johnson.

Johnson certainly started the season on the right foot, scoring a career-high of 17 points in a .

"The attitude of the team has been very good," according to Webster.
