NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The town's public works department was at a loss for words when it shared on Facebook images depicting vandalism at Auger Field. According to the social media post, damage at the filed included damage to irrigation equipment and the new fence, deep ruts in the topsoil made by a motor bike and a toppled newly-planted maple tree.
"We at Public Works do not know what to say," the social media post reads about the damage workers found early Tuesday morning.
"Overnight in the Augur field the new fence was damaged, caps removed and broken, irrigation overturned and broken, motorcycle burn-outs in the new topsoil and grass seed. And to top it off, they pushed over and damaged one of the newly planted maple trees."
