In Yale New Hospital, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 Wanda Huhla Rice longtime resident of North Branford passed away.

Wife of the late Sumner W. Rice, Jr. Wanda was born and raised in Guilford daughter of the late Kazimier and Agnes Wojtak Huhla. Sister of Jennie Offredi of Guilford, Adella Mangino of North Branford and predeceased by a sister, Katherine Offredi and three brothers, Alfred, Edwin and Boleslaw Huhla. Also survived by two nephews, Arthur Joseph Offredi of Guilford and David Offredi of Guilford, two nieces Betty Rubenstein of Wallingford and Kathy Stewart of Guilford and the late Agnes Glossa.

Funeral Services were held at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford on Fri. Jan. 27. Burial followed in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
