2 Dogs Killed In House Fire In North Haven: Officials

Crews responded to a house fire late Thursday night in North Haven, according to officials.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two dogs were killed in a house fire Thursday night in North Haven, according to fire officials.

Multiple fire and police units responded to a structure fire on Hidden Pond Drive around 10 p.m. after neighbors called 911 reporting a large fire in the rear of the house, according to officials.

“Mutual aid responded from Hamden FD,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Firefighters pulled two dogs from the house which unfortunately were deceased. Red Cross responded to care for the occupants that were displaced and the North Haven Animal Control responded for the dogs. No occupants were home at the time of the fire.”

One person has been displaced from the home, according to the American Red Cross.
