3 People Reportedly Try To 'Coerce' Woman Into Car In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating a report that three people tried to "coerce a middle aged female into a vehicle yesterday evening in the Target Plaza."

A man walking by witnessed the interaction and interceded on the woman's behalf; taking her away from the group, police said.

"This incident was not formally reported to our agency, but was received third hand. While this incident is uncorroborated, we feel it is worth mentioning for general awareness/safety. We want to remind everyone to be vigilant of their surroundings and report suspicious activity to 203-239-5321 or dial 911 if you feel you are in danger," North Haven Police said.
