“In him was total exuberance for life, and so in eight brief years, he accomplished more than most do in a lifetime,” Kamp’s obituary reads. “An exceptionally brilliant student, he was homeschooled by his mother after attending Sacred Heart of Jesus Preschool with his beloved Sisters. Particularly in his study of Latin, mathematics, Catholic theology, and cursive, he demonstrated extreme talent and promise, and he had discernible artistic talent as well. Whether it was ice skating with great skill, sailing 420s, kayaking, swimming, playing chess, driving his John Deere tractor, learning to fly, working as a standardized patient at Quinnipiac’s School of Medicine, or presiding as the President of his company, RLR Landscaping, Chubb proved that age and size were no limits to ambition and hard work.”
Visiting hours for Kamp and his grandfather will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home at 36 Washington Avenue in North Haven.
