American Dance Experience prepares for annual recital
Ade Dancer's ready to take the stage !!!!!!!!!
Hamden, CT –The choreography has been learned and the pirouettes have been spun, and it’s just about show time. Every year, the annual dance recital brings families and friends together to celebrate the accomplishments of the young performers at American Dance Experience in Hamden.The 2016 recital, scheduled for Saturday, June 25 at John Lyman Auditorium, will carry the nameDance to the Music, a theme that came about organically through the various song choices.The recital represents the payoff of hundreds of hours of work by owner, Alicia DeCesare-Corcoran, and her teaching staff."I love the excitement that surrounds the recital," said DeCesare-Corcoran. "It's fun to see the dancers get excited about taking home their costumes and finishing their dances. The annual recital is what our dancers work towards for the entire year, culminating in one day of performances. It shows all of the hard work the dancers, teachers, and even the parents have done beginning in September."The show will feature performances of ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater routines, representing the full range of class options at American Dance Experience. Thestudents will participate, many in multiple performances. There will be 5 young ladies graduating this year from the dance studio, and will be award diplomas at the finale of the recital. These young ladies have shown an amazing amount of commitment throughout their many years of dance.
