American Dance Experience Raises Money to Stomp Out Bullying

This year the students at American Dance Experience chose to raise funds for Stomp out Bullying.

Being part of a dance class teaches you many things. Not only the fundamentals of dance, but also about team work, getting along with others, and friendship. The dancers at American Dance Experience learned a couple other important lessons; generosity, and helping others. For the last few years, the competition classes have been competing in the Power of Dance Competition. This competition is unlike many of the ones offered to students. The students dance to raise money for Charity. Each studio picks a charity, and then based on overall placements in categories; money is awarded to that studio’s charity.
This year the students at American Dance Experience chose to raise funds for Stomp out Bullying. This national organization raises money to help children and young adults who are being bullied by their peers. They also raise awareness in schools and offer counseling for families that are affected by bullying.
After dancing their hardest, the students were so excited when award time came around. The students earned over $600.00 that would be donated to Stomp Out Bullying. One of the young students was so moved by the competition and raising money to help others, decided that the money she received from her birthday two weeks after the competition, she would also donate to Stomp out Bullying.
