NORTH HAVEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is advising motorists of lane closures that will be in effect for guiderail upgrades on Route 40 in North Haven and Hamden over the next few months.
The project is scheduled to start on Monday, Aug. 10, and be completed on Friday, Oct. 30.
The project, which is being performed by Eagle Fence, consists of upgrading and replacing the existing guiderail, according to officials.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be various lane closures on Route 40 from Monday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns crash units, and state troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
