Back on the Job: North Haven K-9 Zeus Makes Full Recovery
Zeus sustained a serious injury while tracking a suspect in early January.

The North Haven Police Department has announced that K-9 Zeus has made a full recovery from a serious injury sustained while on the job earlier this month and is now back working full duty.
The department thanked the public for the overwhelming support and well wishes sent Zeus’ way.

Officer James Brennan and Zeus were searching for the driver of an unoccupied BMW who had allegedly collided with another vehicle and left the scene of the accident.
Zeus led officers south through a residential area while tracking the scent of the suspect. While going over a metal fence, Zeus received a serious injury to his rear leg and still tried to continue the track but it was stopped.

Zeus underwent surgery at Central Animal Hospital and was out of action for several weeks.
