Back To School: North Haven 2026-27 School Calendar

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Summer is starting to wind down as the first day of school in North Haven is quickly approaching.

Students will return to the classroom in North Haven Public Schools on Monday, Aug. 31.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here’s a list of dates to know for this school year, according to the 2026-2027 district calendar:

• First day: Aug. 31
• Labor Day, no school: Sept. 7
• Yom Kippur, no school: Sept. 21
• Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day, no school: Oct. 12
• Election Day / Staff Development Day, no school for students: Nov. 3
• Veterans Day, no school: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving Break, no school: Nov. 26-27
• Holiday Recess, no school: Dec. 24 – Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Day, no school: Jan. 18
• Staff Development Day, no school: Feb. 12
• Presidents’ Day Recess, no school: Feb. 15-16
• Eid al-Fitr, no school: March 9
• Good Friday, no school: March 26
• Spring Break, no school: April 12-16
• Memorial Day, no school: May 31
• Projected Last Student Day: June 15
