Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested Within Hours of Crime: North Haven Police

With the assistance of East Haven and Branford police, the suspect was arrested less than 12 hours after the bank was robbed.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — With the assistance of the East Haven and Branford police departments, North Haven Police arrested the suspect in Monday’s bank robbery less than 12 hours after the bank was robbed.

A man entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 80 Washington Avenue in North Haven with a note demanding money at about 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, according to North Haven Police.

The teller hand the money over to the suspect, who fled the scene. No one was injured and no weapon was displayed during the robbery, North Haven Police said.

With the assistance of the East Haven Police Department, North Haven detectives quickly identified the suspect as Daniel Toce, 29, from East Haven.

Detectives secured an arrest warrant and located Toce at a motel in Branford.

With the assistance of the Branford Police Department, Toce was taken into custody without incident, North Haven Police said.

Toce was charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree larceny. He was held on a $50,000 bond and will be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court.
