From The Bench: North Haven Volleyball: Meet the Captains
Caroline Toni and Hannah Auddino are Ready to Take NH Volleyball to the Next Level.
It’s time to meet the Captains for the North Haven volleyball team. Caroline Toni and Hannah Auddino both started last year and both are all SCC division B honorees. Auddino posted 223 assists, 49 digs, 10 kills and 31 Aces in 2020. Toni, who is an outside hitter, had 87 digs, 58 kills and 18 aces and received all-conference honors. In an interview last year with Zip 06, coach Brianna Klecker said of Auddino, “We can’t go anywhere if Hannah doesn’t do a million things right at the same time. She did a phenomenal job of working through the pressure and performing in a way that allowed us to be successful.” In that same article Klecker was quoted about Toni and said this: “Caroline is one of our hungriest competitors who always wants to win,” . “The growth that she had with her skills and mental side of the game was awesome. She worked so hard to improve and did phenomenally well this year.”
If I had to say there is no limit to this year's team's potential. They have two great leaders as well as an excellent coaching staff and when you put those together there's no telling what they can do or how far they can go. I wish coach Klecker, her staff, the captains and the entire North Haven volleyball team the best of luck in the upcoming season. Now let's meet the captains!

Were you into sports when you were little? Yes Softball, took up Volleyball freshman year of high school.
Why #22? - The number I ended up with my Freshman year and did not want to change it!
Future Plans- Interested in Animal Science not sure which college yet!
Who is the person or people that keep you going when the times get rough? My Teammates and coaches keep me focused and grounded.
Who is your favorite sports player? DJ LeMahieu of the New York Yankees!

What is your favorite movie about sports? A League of Their Own
What is your favorite dinner? Any type of Chicken
Favorite Snack before or after games? Dunkin
Greatest moment on the court… When we beat Lyman Hall in 2020 to advance to the FINALS!
Advice to younger players - be healthy and active during the off-season, try a different sport, this will Improve strength, mobility, speed and agility.
