The big win came on a scratch ticket, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — An Ansonia resident recently won $30,000 on a scratch ticket that was sold in North Haven, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The person won $30,000 on a 30X Cash 10th Edition scratch ticket that was sold at Sam's Food Store at 224 Quinnipiac Avenue in North Haven, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scam, according to officials.
