Protest at All Pets Club in Wallingford

Protest of sale of Pit Bull Pups at All Pets Club, Wallingford

All Pets Club is currently selling five pit bull puppies for a whopping $1,100 each. These puppies came from a "breeder" in East Hartford, CT. Meanwhile, East Hartford pound is at capacity, most of their dogs being pit bulls, and for the first time in a very long time, they are forced to make some difficult decisions. Our local shelters are FILLED with adoptable pit bulls, many of which will languish in kennels for a year or more while awaiting new homes, and many others will be euthanized. There are several CT city shelters that euthanize dogs weekly due to lack of space, and just outside of CT, we have the NYC shelter system which euthanizes several dozen pit bulls DAILY. In United States shelters, over 1 million pit bulls are euthanized every year.

So why is All Pets Club contributing to the problem by financially supporting "breeders," taking potential homes from adoptable shelter pit bulls, and selling intact puppies? How many of these pit bull puppies will be allowed to reproduce? How many will be used for dog fighting? How many of these dogs will end up in shelters and ultimately euthanized? When does it end?
