The Story of The Kid Part One-Short Stories and Tall Tales Vol 1

This is just a simple blog. . . . the audience is small, so I tailor it for that. . . . . Zenith has lost track of someone. . he is unable to write his poetry. . . .he feels abandoned once again. . . what is Zenith to do?

Well, Zenith can man up, but he'll never do that. . .. .not as long as Mandy continues to believe he doesn't exist. He thought of taking out a billboard, he thought sending a real letter, but in the end, he believed he'll declare his love for her on one of the social media sites.  He only has twenty cyber friends, but he is hopeful.  At least he thought he was hopeful.

Zenith met Mandy a few years back as she was walking down her street.  There was no human being more beautiful in his eyes. He stopped his small motorcycle, the one with the sidecar and smiled at her. . they spoke for a few moments, but that was all, for both were married. But they started to meet each day for a coffee here or just sitting watching the traffic go by. Occasionally they'd fly kites in the park, or throw rocks at elderly people as they walked around. They had fun.  It was obvious to both of them that Mandy should have been his, long ago, and Zenith, well, Zenith should have made some other candy besides Necco waffers.  Mandy cried to him about her horrible marrige, one of nothing but name calling and abuse. She's missing a small spot on her head when her husband Bruno pulled her hair. Yet, she still manages to go on.  As for Zenith, well, Zenith married into the Necco Waffer fortune and was always usually covered in confectioners sugar. Mandy didn't care about his money or his Necco Waffers. She cared only about never finding love. But Zenith, romantic that he was, showed her she was wrong. . . .

I'm sure you're asking. . so. . . did they do the do? Did they have an affair? Is it still going on? Does Mandy even like Necco Waffers?

Well. . . no one knows right now. . . . Mandy is incommunicado and Zenith is distraught and beside himself. No amount of Necco waffer money will repair his broken spirit, his destroyed heart.   Zenith thought of renting a helicopter and making a few fly bys over her house, but he was afraid of flying.

But the story is far from over. It appears that Mandy is no longer reachable by conventional methods, word has it, she moved to Spain to cook for the Christian missionaries and embarassing her in a public venue, well. . it's not known how that will work for Zenith, it's doubtful she'll ever know his true feelings.   He cries a little bit each day. . . and hopes that each day will bring him further from his pain, but it only makes him focus on Mandy's pain which she hides well.  Zenith doesn't want to be 80 years old and finding himself in her bakery and they reconnect after 40 years. .  . Zenith doesn't expect to be here that long, and even if he was. .  he couldn't wait another 40 years just to smile at Mandy again. 

So Zenith will sit. . . . .  he'll send up a flare perhaps, maybe even drop a single red rose on the front seat of her car while she is in the store, no doubt buying Necco Waffers. . . . .

so where do we go from here?  Is Bruno even still alive? Does Mandy know Zenith is yearning? Is it true that after a shower, Zenith uses confectioners sugar instead of powder?  Stay tuned, same Bat time, same Bat channel  for this exciting story from the collection Short Stories and Tall Tales!!
