Bridgeport Man Accused of Stealing Railroad Steel in North Haven
Police spotted Joshua Longman, 30, filling his truck with steel items from the CSX rail yard.

A Bridgeport man was caught stealing railroad steel from a rail yard in North Haven at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a police press release.
Police said that an officer was patrolling the Universal Drive area and interrupted the man, Joshua Longman, stealing railroad steel from the CSX rail yard.
Longman, 30, trespassed onto the property and was filling his truck with several steel items stored in the yard, according to police.

Longman was taken into custody without incident and charged with third-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny.
He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 23.
