Bullets Found in 6-Year-Old's Backpack in North Haven (Updated)
The incident happened at the Aces Cooperative School on Mill Road Tuesday morning.

North Haven Police responded to the Aces Cooperative School at 295 Mill Road after school officials reported a student had one or two bullets in a backpack Tuesday morning.
NBC Connecticut reported the school didn’t go into lockdown and no weapon was found. The school is for students in K-8.

On Oct. 21, North Haven Police were summoned to the Aces Cooperative School on Mill road in North Haven for a report of a student who was found to have two bullets in his backpack.
While driving to school in the morning, a bus driver overheard a 6-year-old child from New Haven telling another student that he had bullets in his bag. The driver stopped the bus and removed the bag from the child finding two 40-caliber bullets.

The driver checked the bag and student to confirm no weapons were present. When the bus arrived to the school the bullets were given to school administrators and the police were called. Officers are working in collaboration with the Department of Children and Families to investigate the circumstances leading to this situation.
