Burglars Try To Steal ATM From Gas Station: North Haven Police

Police said two suspects pried open the front door and tried to remove an ATM by wrapping a chain around it and pulling it with a vehicle.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after two people tried to remove an ATM from a Cumberland Farms early Friday morning in North Haven.

Police responded to the Cumberland Farms on State Street on the report of a burglary.

“Two suspects pried open the front door and attempted to remove an ATM machine by wrapping a chain around it and trying to pull it with their vehicle,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The suspects were unsuccessful and fled the area.”

Police said the suspect vehicle is a black Nissan Rogue that was used in several other towns that night/morning, to commit similar crimes.
