Starting in the late 19th century, immigrants from Italy began flooding into New Haven to work in the city's many factories. People from the Amalfi coast settled in the Wooster Square area, turning it into an Italian American enclave, with rich cultural traditions.  Today, few descendants of the immigrants still live in Wooster Square, but vestiges of their community remain–in the church, the ethnic societies and their festas, and the pizza joints and pastry shops. Most vividly, the village lives on in the fond memories of the people who grew up there.  PLEASE NOTE: there will be a Q&A with the film’s director Steve Hamm (Elm City Films) Hear about the invitation to share the film in New Haven's sister city Amalfi, Italy and their response to the documentary.  2018 – 60 min.
