Cuban Scientist's Discovery to Alleviate the Effects and Progression of Alzeimer's Disease

Event Details

New Haven, CT

A film, "Teresita's Dream", will be screened at the Mitchell Branch of the New Haven Library, 37 Harrison St. New Haven, CT, 06515, from 2-4 PM on Saturday, July 25. It is a documentary about Teresita Rodrigues's work to help her mother who was afflicted with the disease. It is set in Havana and details the difficulty of attempting to do this during the U S embargo, and her success. Another 8-minute film depicts how US doctor Bill Blanchette took his patients to Cuba for Neuro-CIM treatment. Because of our embargo, discoveries such as these in Cuba are not being utilized in the US. A question and answer period will follow, and light refreshments will be provided. This is sponsored by the Greater New Haven Peace Council.
