A “PATCHWORK” OF NORTH HAVEN STORIES

The North Haven Historical Society & Museums will be hosting a presentation and signing of the book Patchwork by Barbara Jodry on Saturday, August 15, 2026.This event will be held at the Cultural Center, 27 Broadway from 10 AM to 12 noon. Melinda Jodry, editor and daughter of the author, has also agreed to speak about the book and answer questions.

Patchwork is, in Melinda Jodry’s words, a “collection of stories of growing up in North Haven”. It tells the story of the Randall family and “Beautiful View Farm” located between Clintonville Road and Patten Road on the east side of town. The farmhouse still stands, though the farm was sold in 1962. The book presents a charming depiction of everyday life through the eyes of an intelligent, witty, and creative young woman.
