This upcoming election season, we can unanimously agree that Girl Scout Cookies always get the top vote as the tastiest treat! Every year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut (GSOFCT) gives Connecticut residents an enticing reason to come out to the polls by hosting cookie booths at many polling sites and local businesses throughout the state.
This year, more than 300 booths will be available from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 8, 2026, and re-appearing on the ballot again this year with seven other flavors, is the organization’s newest cookie: Exploremores®, a rocky road ice cream–inspired sandwich cookie filled with chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème.
NEW THIS YEAR: Cast Your Vote for Cookies Sweepstakes!

“The Girl Scout Cookie Program is our most popular initiative to date and the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world,” said Elicia Pegues Spearman, CEO of Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “What’s more, all proceeds from cookie sales remain local and help fund life-changing programs, experiences and learnings all year long, including summer camp experiences for thousands of Girl Scouts. When you buy Girl Scout cookies, you can be assured you are helping girls of all ages acquire essential business, outdoor, and life skills needed for brighter futures, one cookie at a time.”
The cookie candidates for Election Week include Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Trefoils®, Lemon-Ups®, Adventurefuls®, and Exploremores®.All cookies are $6 per package.
Girl Scouts are participating in Election Week cookie sales in a variety of ways, including direct sales to friends and family, walking about their neighborhood with their troop, in-person cookie booths, and virtual booths on social media. Cookies for Heroes
Many Girl Scouts are also participating in the Gift of Caring Service Project, also known as Cookies for Heroes. Customers can purchase packages of cookies, which are then delivered to active military men and women, veterans, and local community heroes. Last year, over 93,000 packages of cookies were sold for this cause. You may purchase Cookies for Heroes from your favorite Girls Scouts or go to www.gsofct.org to find a booth near you.
“The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps develop five distinct skills: goal setting, decision making, business ethics, managing money, and people skills,” adds Spearman. “Each cookie season, Girl Scouts push their limits, embrace challenges, think creatively and believe in their own potential.”
Last season, GSOFCT sold almost 1.6 million packages of cookies.
