Calling All Historic Property Owners!
The North Haven Historical Society is providing plaques for historic homeowners.

The North Haven Historical Society & Museums is excited to announce that it will be providing plaques to historic homeowners.
Signage identifying historic homes is often seen in communities that value their historic resources. These plaques are a public “thank you” to the owners for maintaining these properties. They also showcase the historical provenance of these homes. The Historical Society believes that providing these plaques, free of charge to the homeowners, is one way they can promote a greater knowledge and appreciation of local history.
The North Haven Historical Society & Museums is now in the process of identifying homes/properties of historic interest. The Historical Society is most interested in suggestions from residents. Individuals who believe their homes/properties should be so identified please contact us at 203-239-7722 or email us at nhhistsoc@gmail.com . If you know of a property in your neighborhood that you believe should be identified, please reach out to us, as well. Once the society has finalized the first group of properties to be acknowledged, owners of those homes will be contacted by mail. Participation is voluntary, and property owners will be fully informed of the history of their property, the size and appearance of the plaque, and placement details.
