Construction on a new Chick-fil-A in North Haven is expected to begin next spring, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports the North Haven Planning and Zoning Commission approved Chick-fil-A’s site plan application at 550 Universal Drive North at its meeting on Aug. 3.

The restaurant, which will become the first tenant in front of the new Cinemark movie theatre, is expected to open late summer or early fall in 2016 and will provide 80 to 100 new jobs, according to the Record-Journal.
