Child Seriously Injured in I-91 Crash in North Haven
The crash remains under investigation.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A child was seriously injured in a crash on I-91 in North Haven on Christmas morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
A Toyota Tundra was going south on I-91 when it slid into the center median and rolled over numerous times before crossing into the northbound lanes of the highway, police said. One occupant, a 6-year-old Meriden child, was ejected and taken to Yale Children's Hospital. The child suffered serious injuries that are considered life-threatening, according to the North Haven Fire Department.
Three remaining occupants suffered minor injuries.

The fire department said preliminary investigation shows the pickup truck involved in the accident slid on black ice and flipped. It is not known at this time whether the children were properly secured inside the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact Trooper Jon Poisson (#915) at Troop I in Bethany.
