Contributions from visitors at Connex Credit Union’s North Haven Branch during the third quarter of 2016 have helped make a significant impact for one local organization. As a part of its philanthropic program ConnexCares, Connex Credit Union recently donated nearly $1,300 from the fees collected by Connex’s coin-cashing machine at their North Haven Branch to the Diabetes Prevention Program at the Fair Haven Community Health Center.

The Coins-for-Change program charges a five percent fee to members, a seven percent fee to non-members and donates this money to charitable organizations in the local community, contributing more than $10,000 annually.

Established in 1971, the Fair Haven Community Health Center is a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) dedicated to providing comprehensive health care through innovative and alternative systems of health delivery. To learn more, or to donate, please visit www.fhchc.org.
