Coronavirus North Haven: All Town Buildings Closing

Officials announce that all remaining town buildings will be closing to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — In an effort to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, North Haven First Selectman Michael J. Freda announced that all town buildings will be closed effective Wednesday, March 18. North Haven Public Schools, the Senior Center, Library and Community Services Daycare were all closed last week. All remaining town buildings will be closed effective Wednesday.

“Town employees will continue to be working to answer calls and assist the public,” according to a news release. “Any critical needs that may require in-person resources will be handled individually on a pre-scheduled appointment basis. Please call the particular department in Town Hall or Annex building to schedule your appointment.

“Residents and those having business with the Town are encouraged to use all online resources including the online permitting system for building permits, and online program for payment of taxes.”

Officials say sanitation and recycling will continue to operate on their normal schedule and the town’s police and fire departments will continue to be fully operational.
