House Fire Displaces 8 In North Haven: Officials

Crews extinguished a house fire Tuesday morning in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Eight people were displaced after a house fire Tuesday morning in North Haven, according to officials.

Crews responded to a fire in the 200 block of Middletown Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Officials said initial 911 calls indicated the possibility of people trapped inside, but “all occupants were found to be accounted for.”

“Mutual aid consisting of an engine and a ladder was provided to the scene by the East Haven Fire Department and station coverage with one engine was provided by the Wallingford Fire Department,” fire officials wrote in a post on Facebook. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist with the relocation of five adults and three children.”

No injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s office, according to officials.
