The Daytime Gardeners of North Haven met Feb. 28, 2017 to learn tips about photography in the garden from Mike Grabowski and Donna Owens, members of the North Haven Camera Club. Mike and Donna kindly donated their time and expertise to the club members as a way of collaborating with another North Haven community service club.
Their presentation including information on using the rule of thirds to organize the space and best present the target of the photo. An important tip about lighting encourages photographers to take advantage of the soft light just before sunrise, and just after sun set, to get the best effects and colors. Blurring the background was another suggestion that helps to emphasize focus on the target. Participants enjoyed a very informative meeting and look forward to implementing the tips from these experts.
