Daytime Gardeners of North Haven

MINIATURE ARRANGEMENT WORKSHOP

The Daytime Gardeners of North Haven were treated to a program delivered by one of their own members at their July meeting. Helen Nado, a flower show judge, displayed small and miniature arrangements created with flowers from her garden along with tiny containers in an assortment of shapes from her home collection. Eight inches in height is considered small and five inches is miniature.

Helen has won many awards in flower show competitions for her expertise and creativity in this category. Members of the garden club were encouraged to bring flowers and containers to the meeting and, following instruction from Helen in how to structure a miniature arrangement, proceeded to be creative.

Daytime Gardeners Club is actively seeking new members to join in their community projects, site visitations and garden related programs. For more information, call Brenda at (203) 239-1557. The meetings are held at the Parks & Recreation Center at 10:00 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Daytime Gardeners of North Haven is a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of CT. Inc and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
