Daytime Gardeners Participate in Library Summer Reading Program

The Daytime Gardeners of North Haven participated in the kick-off event for the North Haven Library Summer Reading Program held on the library lawn on Saturday, June 16, 2018. The perfect weather conditions brought many community members out to enjoy the variety of activities offered. The Daytime Gardeners assisted children in transplanting a marigold into a cup so they could take it home to plant. The activity drew many interested children and adults to the exhibit, which also featured bird houses, bird feeders, mason bee houses, a wood duck house, and literature to take home about attracting nature to your yard.
