Decision Reached on School in North Haven on Friday
Snow is falling Friday morning and is expected to continue until around noon.
The following New Haven County schools are closed on Friday due to snow including, but not limited to:
- Branford Public Schools
- Milford Public Schools
- Orange Public Schools
- Naugatuck Public Schools
- Pomperaug Region 15
- Oxford Public Schools
- Guilford Public Schools
- Madison Public Schools
- Meriden Public Schools
- Bethany Public Schools
- Woodbridge Public Schools
- Hamden Public Schools
- North Haven Public Schools
- Wallingford Public Schools
- Cheshire Public Schools
A fast-moving somewhat of a surprise snowstorm was expected to dump between 3-6 inches of snow on the area before it tapers off late Friday morning and early afternoon.
The heavy wet snow is forecast to be at its worst from about 5 a.m. to 8 a.m.

During the day temps will warm up into the upper 30s. All eyes are focused on the potential next storm, a Nor’easter that may arrive late Monday and into Tuesday.
