Dick's Sporting Goods, New Movie Theater Coming to North Haven
The businesses are part of several projects scheduled to begin next year.

A new Dick’s Sporting Goods store is expected to open in North Haven next summer at the former XPect Discount location on Universal Drive, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports the project is just one of several that are scheduled to be launched early next year along the Universal Drive-State Street corridor.
North Haven First Selectman Michael Freda told Luther Turmelle of the New Haven Register that Texas-based Cinemark Holdings is building a new 14-screen movie theater at the rear of the existing theater at 550 Universal Drive.

The new theater is expected to open in the spring and the existing facility will be torn down and plans also call for two restaurants and two retailers to occupy the movie theater property, according to the Register.
There are also several other projects in the works, involving Comcast, FedEx, and others, according to the Register.
