Energize Connecticut, CT STEM Academy Host Family STEM Night

Spend an evening learning about energy and technology at the Energize Connecticut Center

On Friday, November 4, Eversource and AVANGRID, Inc. subsidiaries United Illuminating, Southern Connecticut Gas and Connecticut Natural Gas invite students and families to join them at the Energize Connecticut Center for a fun evening exploring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with the CT STEM Academy.

The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the center, 122 Universal Drive North, North Haven. It is free of charge and open to the public.

During the evening’s activities, guests will learn about their environmental impact on the world and identify creative solutions to help make a difference every day. Activities include:

· Building a rocket

· Creating a tower

· Controlling a Sphero robot

· Learning to code with Ozobots

· Playing fun math games and many more hands-on investigations

CT STEM Academy’s Family STEM Nights are designed to provide insight for children of all ages into the fascinating world of science and technology. Offered in collaboration with local and regional science institutions like the Energize Connecticut Center, science teachers, informal educators, and inventors, these nights aim to foster an interest and love of science.
