Extreme Cold Forces Change To Amity Versus North Haven Football
The game was scheduled to be played on Thanksgiving Day but the weather has forced a change.
The big Thanksgiving Day game between Amity High School and North Haven High School has been moved from Thanksgiving Day to Wednesday evening.
The game will be played at North Haven but will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday now.
Amity HS Athletics said on social media that the reason for the change is "due to the threat of extreme cold temperatures."

Due to the impending record-cold temperatures on Thursday, @amityathletics and @NHIndiansAD have decided to move their Thanksgiving Day Football Game to Wednesday night at 6 PM. It will still be held at Vanacore Field. #cthsfb #SCC25

There may be record cold temps on Thanksgiving Day with high temps only forecast to be around 20 degrees.
Amity has a 5-4 record and North Haven's is 7-2.
