FINAL NOTES re: THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION'S ADULT SPELLING BEE
The long awaited 2016 community event that's free and fun for all is here.

1. The North Haven Education Foundation, Inc. will hold its 2nd annual Adult Spelling Bee on Thursday evening, April 28th at North Haven High School.
2. ADMISSION is FREE, and the FOOD in the lobby is FREE: [The PIZZA was donated by local vendors and the other REFRESHMENTS will be provided by the Culinary Arts Dept]. Doors OPEN at 6:00 pm for this “Free-BEE, Pre-BEE social hour”.
3. The 36 teams of 3 (swarms) will begin the competition on stage at 7:00 pm with the Best in Hive Trophy awarded by 9:00 pm. Come join the FUN!

4. Co-Emcees, a Referee, and a Word Wizard will keep everyone laughing. (They promise that the word list used will be decidedly more familiar to contestants, as well.)
5. The Adult Spelling Bee includes voluntary audience participation as the teams change on the stage, allowing for the elimination of an intermission to save time.

6. In addition to good-natured politicians and business representatives, there are student and school staff teams. Everyone is urged to come to cheer on their favorites.
7. This community-wide competition will also award prizes for the Best Team Name, Best Costume, and the Team with the Most Spirit.
8. All donations to The North Haven Education Foundation, Inc. are tax deductible.
9. The Education Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors raises funds to support the school system. An application for a Creativity Grant is on www.nhedfoundation.org.
