NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two people were displaced from their home after a fire late Sunday night in North Haven, according to officials. Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on upper State Street at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to fire officials.
“Fire reported in the walls, first due engine with a report of a heavy smoke condition throughout the house,” officials wrote in a post on Twitter. “E1, T1, R1, E2, E6 and Car 2 on scene.”
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family — two adults, no children — after the fire.

“The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant; shaving supplies and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire,” officials wrote in a news release. “In addition, a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items and more was provided.”
No injuries were reported.
