
According to an article in the Milford-Orange Bulletin, North Haven has sent the most players to the regional Levi Jackson All-Star football team of any other town in the New Haven area this year.
North Haven High School's 9-1 football team saw five members selected for the squad: Jake Mikos on offensive line; Andrew Savenelli on defensive line; Mark Zurlis on linebacker; Jalon White on running back; and Joe Schwab on defensive back.
Eligible players are selected by area coaches for the All-Star Team, and will be honored with an event at the New Haven Gridiron Club on December 8.

The dinner on Dec. 8, which also will honor outstanding area college players, is scheduled for 7 p.m. with a social hour at 6. Tickets, at $40 each, should be ordered by Dec. 1 by sending checks to New Haven Gridiron Club, PO Box 32, New Haven 065011. No tickets will be sold at the door.
