Flooded Road Reported In North Haven
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area: BREAKING

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police are advising motorists to avoid the area of State Street between Sackett Point Road and Skiff Street due to flooding. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for all of New Haven County until 2:45 p.m.
"At 10:51 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Generally 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen. A band of heavy rain, oriented north to south and extending through the
Atlantic Ocean, is estimated to be producing rainfall rates of 1 to 1 1/2 inches per hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. This rainfall will also be falling during high tide on Long Island Sound and may exacerbate flooding at the immediate coast," the National Weather Service says.
