Free Award-Winning Financial Seminars from Connex Credit Union in June

"How to Create a Budget," "Buying your First Home," and "Homeowners Insurance 101" open to everyone. No membership required.

Connex Credit Union, one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions, announces three of its award-winning workshops will be available for FREE in June. Seasoned industry professionals will provide attendees with the information necessary to take control of their financial lives. These no-obligation seminars are available to both members and non-members as part of its ConnexCares philanthropic initiative.

The first workshop is entitled “How to Create a Budget” and will be hosted by Meriden Branch Manager Mike Nowicky. This seminar is ideal for those perennially struggling to find money to pay their bills each month. Learn how to cover regular expenses and organize finances while still contributing to your savings. This important class takes place Thursday June 1, 2017, from 5:30p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave. While Connex encourages guests to attend in person, a webinar option is available for those unable to be present at this time.

Homeowners Insurance 101” presented by Dan Rocco of CPM Insurance will provide an overview of homeowners insurance, discuss potential coverage gaps and highlight the importance of annual coverage reviews. “Homeowners Insurance 101” occurs Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s Orange Branch located at 212 Boston Post Rd.

Also on June 15, potential future homeowners are invited to attend “Buying Your First Home” with Connex Mortgage Loan Consultant Mark Frank. Learn the basics of the home buying process, from start to finish, and discover what to expect when buying your first home. This highly-informative seminar takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave. A webinar option is available for this session.

These seminars are FREE, but registration is required and can be completed by visiting connexcu.org or by calling 1-800-CR-UNION (1-800-278-6466). During this process you will select if you plan to attend in person or via webinar if applicable. The workshops are open to members and non-members of the credit union, but act fast, seats are limited.
