Gaylord Physical Therapy Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Expands
Gaylord Physical Therapy, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Expands North Haven Office to Accommodate Growing Patient Demand
Gaylord Physical Therapy, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (PTOSM) of North Haven recently celebrated the grand re-opening of its newly expanded clinic located at 8 Devine Street.
According to Jacob Hunter, PT, MSPT, OCS, Manager of Gaylord PTOSM in both North Haven and Cheshire, the decision to expand the clinic was predicated by steadily increasing demand for services by new patients.
“As our reputation for excellent patient care has spread," Hunter said, “the need for additional highly qualified therapists and treatment space has grown. Since our expansion, we’ve increased our footprint to include more than 5,000 square feet of space, allowing us the capacity to increase our highly credentialed team of physical therapists by 50%.”
A preferred provider to many local sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons, Gaylord PTOSM offers local access to Gaylord Specialty Healthcare’s physical therapy expertise and can benefit any individual with conditions ranging from simple strains and sprains to those recovering from serious sports injuries and joint replacement or orthopedic surgeries.
Housed inside Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness, Hunter explained that Gaylord PTOSM patients with their therapists are able to access the entire gym facility including its 150 pieces of cardio and strength equipment and pool, a bonus for treating the active general population as well as high-performing athletes.
Throughout the three-month construction phase, the Gaylord PTOSM office remained open with no disruption to patient treatment, a testament, Hunter said, to the work of contractor Dan Sullivan with DCA Construction.
“It was through their creativity and flexibility that we were able to smoothly maintain operations during the whole process.”
