Generosity of Quinnipiac University Lauded by Education Foundation

Quinnipiac University awarded the North Haven Education Foundation a check for $5,000 as the Gold Sponsor of the NHEF's Adult Spelling Bee.

Bernard Pellegrino, Chairman of The North Haven Education Foundation, Inc. (NHEF) recently announced that “Quinnipiac University has generously agreed to be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2nd annual Adult Spelling Bee” which is scheduled for April 28th at 6 pm in the high school auditorium. He went on to say, “Adding Quinnipiac as a sponsor to this event, which was so enthusiastically welcomed last year, will certainly enhance the experience and the prestige of the Spelling Bee.”

Kathy Rocklin who chairs the Adult Spelling Bee committee indicated that the Education Foundation intends to build on last year’s success and hopes for even greater support from the community in such ways as the sponsorship of teams, the purchase of ads, donations of pizza, or simply by attending the free event which includes refreshments at no cost.

Rocklin added, “We are especially pleased and honored to have Quinnipiac University as our Gold Sponsor. It is the event’s perfect role model with its shared commitment to academic excellence. Funds raised are used to support and encourage requests for projects that go beyond the financial resources of the school district. Quinnipiac’s generosity helps makes this possible.”
