Girls' Rugby Comes to North Haven High School

North Haven High School has formed a Girls’ Rugby Club. We will begin playing in the Spring of 2016. Rugby is a wonderful sport for girls, developing not only athleticism, but also self-confidence, and leadership skills. It’s the only full body contact sport for girls, and there are girls who are looking for exactly that. Unlike many other girls’ sports, girls’ rugby is exactly the same as boys’ rugby----same ball, same field, same rules. North Haven will be only the fourth girls’ high school rugby team in Connecticut. This is truly groundbreaking!

There will be a student interest meeting on Thursday, November 5th, at 2:30pm in the school cafeteria. At this time students will learn about the program and have the opportunity to ask questions.
