Here’s Why You Might See A Helicopter In North Haven This Weekend
The fire department is advising residents that they might see a low-flying helicopter in North Haven this weekend.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The North Haven Fire Department is advising residents in the area of the new Amazon facility on Washington Avenue that they may hear and see a low-flying helicopter throughout the day on Saturday, Oct. 6.
“The use of a helicopter is needed to finalize the installation of various roof components for the building,” the fire department wrote in a post on Facebook. “The use of a helicopter has been approved by the North Haven Fire Department, North Haven Police Department and the building official's office. A plan is in place to ensure the safety of all area residents and emergency procedures have been reviewed by all responding agencies.
“Please avoid the immediate area around the property as access and viewing of this project will be heavily restricted.”
