Incident Prompts Increased Police Presence At North Haven High: PD

Police were told a student from another school apparently displayed a gun during an incident at the school's campus on Thursday.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — There will be an increased police presence at North Haven High School after an after-school incident Thursday where a student from another school displayed what appeared to be a gun, according to officials.

The incident was brought to the attention of a School Resource Officer at North Haven High School on Friday morning.

“Upon learning this, the school SRO immediately began working with the school administration, as well as notifying North Haven patrol officers and detectives,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The incident is under investigation, and an increased police presence will take place out of an abundance of caution.

“Initial reports indicate this incident was not random or a generalized threat to staff or students, but rather involved specific individuals known to each other.”
