Man, 19, Stole Vehicle In North Haven: Police

The 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with a vehicle that was stolen out of North Haven last year, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 19-year-old man is accused of stealing a vehicle in North Haven last February, according to police.

Police said the vehicle was stolen from a home on Culver Lane in February 2021. It was found several days later in New Haven.

North Haven detectives found evidence inside the vehicle that led the investigation to the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, where surveillance footage of both the vehicle and suspect(s) was found, according to police.

“Working with Milford PD, who were also investigating occupants of our stolen vehicle for crimes in their town, detectives were able to identify a suspect,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.

With the assistance of the State Forensic Laboratory and Milford police, North Haven detectives secured an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Isaiah Richardson.

Richardson was charged with first-degree larceny, according to police.
