Man, 21, Pushes 91-Year-Old Victim Over, Steals Wallet: North Haven Police
Police say the suspect engaged the 91-year-old man in conversation before robbing him in the parking lot of a condominium complex: BREAKING

NORTH HAVEN, CT — a 21-year-old New Haven man is accused of pushing a 91-year-old North Haven resident and stealing the man’s wallet from his pants pocket, according to police.
North Haven Police responded to the parking lot of the Eaton Place Condominiums, 216 Quinnipiac Avenue, at about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 on the report of a street robbery.
Investigators learned that a Hispanic male approached the 91-year-old resident of the apartment building and engaged him in conversation, according to police.

Police said when the elderly man attempted to walk away, the suspect pushed him and removed his wallet from his pants pocket.
The suspect then fled on foot with the wallet prior to police arrival. A short time later, officers apprehended the suspect and took him into custody.

Jose Vazquez, 21, of New Haven, was charged with robbery and larceny. He was held on a $10,000 bond and arraigned in Meriden Superior Court, according to police.
